It's Christmas time so what better way to start this blog off that with a few festive photos? These photos were taken on my friends' farm in the Pyes Pa area (about a ten minute drive from the city).
The first photo is a little blurry on account of me leaning against a fence post trying to take the shot. I'm thinking of putting a tripod on my wish-list for Christmas!
The middle photo was taken by the barn with a very convincing looking motorbike that apparently took over four hours to create and install. The light quality is a little poor but I was slightly hesitant to use flash for fear of losing the smaller lights in the foreground. In the background you can see the tomato glass house, lit up because it was time to water the plants! I think it adds a nice touch, and breaks up the black, don't you?
I quite like the last photo. It was quite late at night (around 10:30, the sun doesn't set here until 9:30 at night, and it's not even the peak of summer!) and I was quite lucky with the cloud cover, making it dark enough so that the lights stand out but not so dark that I couldn't take the photo. I've cropped out a large part of the black on the right-hand side of the photo and enlarged it to show the detail better.
Not many sleeps to go now!
